Moto X4 is actually android One edition so, that it is first of its kind in Moto family to receive the latest edition of Android 8 update.
EaarlierMoto promised to release the Andriod oreo update in the last quarter of this year.This may be considered as the New Year-2018 treat for Moto X4 owners.
The update not released globally, As the update released on batch so that other Moto X4 user will;l get the update in due course.

The update includes both OS as well as security updates.
